It has been an exciting year for MVS.. Chair Jenny Griffiths was awarded the British Empire Medal in the Honours list for services to the Maelor Hospital. This led to Jenny and manager Sally Thompson attending a Royal Garden Party in July.. As you can see the food was nearly as good as ours!
At the end of September, the venue changed to the Maelor hospital chapel when the Lord Lieutenant invested Jenny with her medal. We are grateful to the hospital chaplain Jane who arranged the short service to accompany the investiture. It was great to receive compliments about the buffet afterwards from the lord lieutenant !
